Qualifying applicants

The Global EdTech Prize is awarded annually in three categories: Non-Profit, Start-Up, and Major, recognising outstanding EdTech products, tools, or services based on rigorous criteria.

This annual prize welcomes companies and non-profits of all sizes, from start-ups to global enterprises worldwide, regardless of revenue level.

What we are looking for

Applicants must demonstrate their EdTech impact by addressing at least one of the following key challenges:

  • Enhancing literacy development: language and numeracy proficiency
  • Building lifelong skills
  • Supporting social mobility
  • Promoting mental health and holistic wellbeing
  • Empowering learner autonomy and self-directed learning
  • Increasing educational productivity and efficiency
  • Supporting educators’ professional growth
  • Supporting the development of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) and Humanities education
  • Fostering play-based and experiential learning opportunities
  • Addressing and closing educational achievement gaps

What is the Global EdTech Prize?

The Global EdTech Prize is an award created by T4 Education to recognise trailblazing EdTech solutions that drive change and address the most crucial challenges in today’s classrooms. It provides a platform for companies and organisations to scale their impact worldwide.

The Prize is awarded in three categories:
  1. Non-Profit: This category recognises EdTech initiatives led by non-profit organisations, typically reinvesting any surplus revenue to further their educational mission.
  2. Start-Up: This category highlights innovative, fast-growing EdTech ventures, often with limited revenues, but with high potential for impact and growth.
  3. Major: This category honours large-scale EdTech enterprises, that have demonstrated sustained success, innovation, and financial stability in advancing education through technology.

Companies and non-profits of all sizes, from start-ups to global enterprises worldwide, regardless of revenue level, can apply.

All applications must be submitted online via a form available on this website.

The application deadline is May 2nd 23:59 GMT, 2025.

No, we only accept applications written in English. Any submission written in any other language will not be considered. We don’t assess applications against English proficiency, but the clarity in the communication and writing of your answers will count on the assessment of your application.

No, the process is free of charge.

Yes, Finalists organisations will present their work before our Expert Panel at the World Schools Summit and therefore attendance is mandatory to be considered for the final selection. T4 Education will provide two discounted passes per organisation for two representatives to attend.

Unfortunately not. We will publicly announce the companies or organisations that are on the shortlists. We can not give individual feedback due to the high volume of applications.

We will name three winners, one per category (Non-Profit, Start-Up, and Major). From all applicants, 30 Non-Profit, Start-Up, and Major´s will be shortlisted comprising a Top 10 for each category. During the World Schools Summit, the Expert Panel will narrow down the Top 10 to the Top 3 finalists per category (a total of 9 finalists). Educators will then vote by secret ballot to decide one winner per category, and the three winners will be announced live on stage at the event. Winners receive a global platform and international media exposure for their work.
