THE JOURNEY:

From applicant to winner

JUDGING CRITERIA

All categories are judged using these criteria

PURPOSE:

What is the central motivation behind an EdTech product or tool? What challenge was it created to solve? An effective EdTech solution addresses a specific problem (or pain point) in education, rooted in context and informed by research, ensuring relevance and alignment with the actual needs of users. Identifying a pain point is crucial for innovations to be sustainable and impactful.

Quality and impact:

Does the EdTech solution effectively achieve its intended outcomes? Does it solve the challenge initially identified? What impact has it had on education? Evidence of success should be based on quantitative and qualitative data demonstrating positive educational outcomes, using specific metrics to show if the solution works effectively. Additionally, it's crucial to have impact stories that illustrate how the solution has influenced the educational landscape.

Innovativeness:

How new and innovative is the solution to the challenge identified? Is it a unique tool on the market? Does it do something its competitors aren’t? Was it the first that others are now emulating?

Scalability:

If the EdTech solution is effective, can it then be scaled to maximise its impact? This criterion assesses how easily a solution can be implemented and replicated, taking into account its per-student cost, technical and logistical requirements, and overall feasibility, amongst other factors.

OUR process

For selection

All submitted applications are first assessed for eligibility and evaluated based on the judging criteria. A Screening Committee convened by T4 Education then selects a shortlist of 30 organisations per category. This shortlist will be publicly announced prior to the finalist stage.

From the shortlist, 10 tools, products or services will be selected as the Top 10 Finalists in each category. These organisations will be officially announced and invited to present their solutions in the final stage of the competition.

The Top 10 Finalists will showcase their EdTech solutions at the World Schools Summit hosted by T4 Education. A panel of experts will evaluate the presentations according to the judging criteria. The Top 3 exhibitors in each category will be selected, and final winners will be determined by a public vote conducted among educators.
