Judging Process

Transparent, expert-led, and community-supported

How Schools Are Evaluated

A fair and transparent process

Our judging process is designed to be comprehensive, fair, and transparent, based on the judging criteria for each Prize. There will be one winner per Prize, and each winner will receive a full-paid membership for a year in our Best School to Work programme. The five winners will be selected by our Judging Academy based on the judging criteria for each Prize. In addition, we will give a “Community Choice Award” to any of the fifty Top 10 finalist schools that received the highest number of votes in the Public Vote.

Judging process

1. Application Review — Narrowing Down the Top 10

After applications are reviewed for eligibility, they are evaluated by a Screening Committee of education experts established by T4 Education.

Once a longlist has been proposed for each Prize:

  • A due diligence process is carried out.
  • Schools participate in online interviews to dive deeper into their initiatives.
  • Based on these interviews and reviews, the Top 10 finalists are selected for each category.

2. Judging Academy Vote — Deciding the Five Winners

The Judging Academy, composed of global education leaders, receives evaluation packages for the finalist schools and casts votes to determine one winner per Prize category.
