To address the urgent need for equitable professional development across Indonesia, the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education launched Ruang GTK (Ruang Guru dan Tenaga Kependidikan) — an inclusive, scalable digital platform designed to empower teachers nationwide.

Ruang GTK enables educators to upskill independently through self-paced, high-quality training modules tailored to their specific needs and teaching contexts. It allows them to access ready-to-use teaching materials that are aligned with the national curriculum and adaptable to real classroom challenges. And through the platform they can collaborate and share best practices within a dynamic, nationwide community of teachers and school leaders.

By democratising access to continuous professional development and fostering a peer-driven learning culture, Ruang GTK ensures that every teacher—regardless of geographic or socioeconomic barriers—has the tools, resources, and community support needed to grow professionally. It represents a transformative shift toward a more equitable, resilient education system that is centred on students and sustained by empowered teachers.
