¡A Leer en Vivo! is an AI-powered platform that improves reading fluency and comprehension in Spanish for students in grades 3 to 6. In the ¡A Leer en Vivo! experience, students become streamers. They pick topics they care about, read aloud to a virtual audience, and answer comprehension questions through a chat with their ‘followers’. The experience reframes reading as performance rather than evaluation, so students who avoid reading because it feels like a test are willing to practice more.

While the student reads, the platform listens. It measures accuracy and reading speed automatically, then feeds those metrics into a proprietary algorithm that adapts text difficulty in real time without grade-level labelling. Comprehension is assessed at literal, inferential and critical levels through questions embedded naturally in the streaming experience. Texts are organised into six levels of increasing complexity, spanning narrative, expository, argumentative and multimodal genres selected from Latin American curricular frameworks.

Teachers receive a dashboard that surfaces student progress, flags struggling readers and translates data into instructional action. The dashboard supports decisions at the whole-class, small-group and individual level, and each flag comes with specific intervention guides so teachers know how to respond to what they're seeing. The platform integrates into one weekly 45-minute session, combining focused teacher instruction, individual practice and reflection.

The platform launched in early 2024 and currently serves around 4,100 active students across 91 institutions in Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador and Mexico.
