Darsel is a text-based learning platform that allows students to practice and learn math through accessible messaging channels such as WhatsApp. The platform is deployed as a remedial supplemental tool in partnership with government schools, often as an optional substitute for pencil-and-paper worksheets.

Darsel's autonomous chatbot provides an interactive, gamified learning experience. It sends maths questions to students and follows up with hints and explanations as needed. All content is curriculum-aligned and available in local languages. AI-powered personalisation ensures that content is always given at the right level to maximise learning outcomes, and motivational messages reinforce progress.

Students use Darsel for 15 minutes per day from home on existing household devices, through messaging channels that families already use and trust (no downloads or new accounts needed). Maths teachers introduce Darsel in class and receive automated PDF performance reports via WhatsApp, spending just five minutes per week reviewing student progress. Student leaderboards create social motivation within the classroom, while school and district leaderboards support system-level adoption.
