Unveiling the Top 25 shortlisted for the second Global EdTech Prize

Founded by T4 Education with the support of Owl Ventures and Digital Promise, the Global EdTech Prize recognises trailblazing tools grappling with the most crucial challenges in education.

Today, we’re unveiling the Top 25 shortlisted solutions for the second edition of the prize. These are the EdTechs already changing outcomes for the next generation, built by teams who designed them around what educators, students and communities actually need.

The shortlist spans a range of key educational challenges: 

  • Enhancing literacy development and language and numeracy proficiency, 
  • Building lifelong skills; 
  • Supporting social mobility;
  • Promoting mental health and holistic wellbeing; 
  • Empowering learner autonomy and self-directed learning; 
  • Increasing educational productivity and efficiency; 
  • Supporting educators’ professional growth;
  • Supporting the development of STEAM and Humanities education;
  • Fostering play-based and experiential learning opportunities,
  • Closing educational achievement gaps.

The Global EdTech Prize is awarded across three categories: Majors, Start-Ups, and Non-Profits.

This year, the winners will be crowned live at the World Schools Summit in London on January 17, 2027. Getting there is a three-stage process: the Top 10 finalists in each category will be named in September, then during the Summit, an Expert Panel of educators, investors and policymakers will then narrow the field to a Final 3 per category and educators will decide the winners themselves by secret ballot on the night.

Vikas Pota, Founder of T4 Education and the Global EdTech Prize, said:

“Technology in the classroom holds the enormous potential to close learning gaps and fully equip today’s young people for the rapidly emerging workplace of tomorrow. But we can only harness technology effectively when it is made to work for educators to tackle the challenges they face every day. 

“Judged by educators themselves, the Global EdTech Prize exists to bridge the gap between technology and teachers and give a global platform to the solutions that are making a real impact in classrooms, so that impact can be scaled worldwide.”

This is only the start of the journey to the World Schools Summit. Over the coming months, we’ll be following these 25 organisations as they head toward the September finalist announcement and, ultimately, London.
