Judging process

Our judging process is designed to be comprehensive, fair, and transparent, based on the judging criteria for each Prize. It involves a rigorous three-stage process that includes an initial application review, a detailed analysis by our Review Panel, and a final assessment by our esteemed Judging Academy.

1. Application review

Narrowing down the Top 10 shortlists

After applications are reviewed against the eligibility criteria, they are assessed by a Screening Committee set up by T4 Education, based on the judging criteria for each Prize. Once a longlist has been proposed for each Prize, we conduct further due diligence and we invite those schools to an online interview to dive deeper into their expertise and gather more information to support their application. After the interviews, we narrow down the Top 10 shortlists for each Prize.

2. Review panel evaluation

Selecting the Top 3 finalists

Our Review Panel, made up of education experts and teachers, assesses the Top 10 shortlisted schools against the judging criteria, including their applications, interviews and all the information gathered, and will define the Top 3 finalists for each Prize.

3. Judging academy vote

Deciding the five winners

The Judging Academy comprising leading figures around the world reviews the evaluation packages and votes to determine the winner of each of the five Prizes.

Review panel

We are proud that the World’s Best School Prizes have been conceived and designed by teachers and education experts.

We have established the Review Panel that plays an advisory role on the creation and implementation of the Prizes mechanism.

The educator committee

Integrated by distinguished teachers from different schools across the globe. Their role is to advise and assess the Prizes mechanism from the perspective of a school, providing feedback to ensure that these Prizes are tailored-made for schools and also englobing their communities. They also advise on the decision of who the Top 3 Finalist schools should be in each Prize category.
